Experiencing network issues

Have a look at the different scenarios if you are facing any network issues and follow the suggested steps to assist you.

Scenario 1: Service Outage

If your internet suddenly stops working, you should:

  1. Observe the indicator lights on your Fiber router for any unusual signals
    (PON Light Blinking, Red Key)
  2. If a red key light appears, contact your service provider for assistance

Scenario 2: Inaccurate Speed

If you notice your speed is slower than usual, you should:

  1. Turn off any apps or devices which are not in use to free up your network
  2. Connect with a cable directly to measure your internet speed accurately
  3. Run a speed test through a reliable online platform to check your connection
  4. If your speed connection is still unusual, contact your service provider for assistance

Scenario 3: Disconnection Issues

If you notice your internet keeps on disconnecting, you should:

  1. Keep a note of any patterns in the disconnections, such as time of day or during specific activities
  2. Disconnect and reconnect to the network
  3. Reboot your devices and Fiber router to ensure your network connection is restarted
  4. If you are still facing disconnection issues after these steps, contact your service provider for assistance

Scenario 4: Poor Signal Strength

If you notice your internet signal strength is poor, you should:

  1. Keep other electronic devices that may cause interference, such as microwaves or cordless phones, away from the Fiber router
  2. If obstacles can’t be moved, consider using a Wi-Fi extender to boost the signal around obstructions
  3. Move to a well-covered area with Wi-Fi signal for better performance
  4. Check the signals on both Wi-Fi networks (5Ghz and 2.4Ghz)
  5. Disconnect devices not in use to alleviate network load and improve performance
  6. If you still notice that the signal strength is poor, contact your service provider for assistance
